NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls will take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at the United Center. The Bulls have played stellar basketball as of late and have beat some of the elite teams around the league. They face a Hawks team that has just lost three games in row.
The Chicago Bulls (45-18) have shown glimpses of brilliance all season. They currently hold the number 2 spot in the Eastern Conference and have shown their depth and talent during the big games of the season. Derrick Rose is a favorite for this year’s MVP, and big men Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah have done their part in pitching in. Chicago is second in the league in rebounds per game and is the toughest team to score on in the league.
In Chicago’s last game, Carlos Boozer injured his leg after being flagrantly fouled by Kwame Brown. This could be a factor in Friday’s game, but Chicago has played with injured players earlier in the season and are able to compensate.
The Atlanta Hawks (37-27) are still holding strong at the 5th spot in the East and will look to Josh Smith and Joe Johnson to propel their offense. The Hawks have actually fared well against Chicago in the past, winning the last three of the games that they have played. Their most recent win against the Bulls was on March 2.
Atlanta will look to keep their streak against Chicago alive, and get out of this little losing streak they have been stuck in.
