The NBA Finals move to the TD Garden for Game 3 with the Boston Celtics playing host to the Los Angeles Lakers tied at one game apiece in the series. Tip is at 9 PM ET on ABC. The Boston Celtics rebounded from a dismal Game 1 with a fierce effort led by two incredible individual performances. Ray Allen assaulted the Lakers net and the NBA record book shooting 8-of-11 from long range. Then the series shifted to Phoenix where the Suns reasserted themselves. Amare Stoudemire took over Game 3 using his quickness to outclass the Lakers bigs who weren’t getting any help from team-mates covering the perimeter. Amare ended with 42 points in a huge statement game. The other story of Game 3 was the 3-2 zone that Phoenix used to defend the Lakers. After a first quarter that ended tied, the Suns switched to the zone to slow a Lakers offense that had steamrolled them for nine quarters.
