The Chicago Blackhawks come home with a 2-0 series lead over San Jose Sharks in their Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Final best-of-seven series. The Chicago Blackhawks checking line has been the story of the series. Led by Dave Bolland, they have been very effective in limiting the opportunities for San Jose’s top line of Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau and Dany Heatly. The Flyers have had a ton of injuries to goaltenders this season and Michael Leighton has been waiting to reclaim the starters role, but facing elimination there is no room error as he gets used to playing again. Leighton faced 14 shots in Game 5 sharing the shutout with Boucher, but the Bruins didn’t really test him with quality chances or pressure him with traffic in front of the net. Simon Gagne is proving to be a real leader for the Flyers. After breaking a bone in his foot in the Continue Reading
